# Whatsapp optout

{% hint style="warning" %}
Starting from version `2.5` of the **Chat flows** skill, the opt-out and opt-in replies will be handled by the platform itself and as such will no longer be configurable via the Content screen.

The opt-out/opt-in mechanism itself will continue to work as is.
{% endhint %}

Your bot template might support out of the box features that require custom content for your particular use case. One of these system features are opt-in and opt-out for Whatsapp.

When a user of your bot types 'opt-out' on Whatsapp, the system will no longer allow business initiated conversations to this user. It will reply with the text that is configured in the content section's page "Default responses".

The opposite applies for when a user types 'opt-in'. It well then allow business initiated conversations again and replies with another pre-configured response.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://manuals.dialox.ai/studio/content/whatsapp-optout.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
