# Nodes

### Node details

The node details panel holds the configuration of a node. By changing the configuration, the behavior and content of a node can be adjusted. Depending on the node type and variant the configurable items will differ. The node-specific properties are described in the individual node sub sections. There are a few node properties that are common to every node. They are bundled in the Advanced panel, described below.

### Advanced node properties

Besides the node-specific properties, every node has a set of advanced properties. These are the same for all nodes:

| Property   | Description                                                              | Explanation                                                                                                                          |
| ---------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------ | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| Identifier | Unique identifier of this node within this flow | Auto number, read only |
| Add tag(s) | [Tags](/settings/app-settings/tags.md) to set when this node is executed | Tags allow you to track the execution of nodes in the Analytics section and to build skip logic using conditions (see next property) |
| Skip when | The condition that determines whether to execute or to skip this node | See the [section about conditions](/studio/flows/conditions.md). |

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://manuals.dialox.ai/studio/flows/nodes.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
